In 2015, DAV Public School, Hehal, added an indoor shooting range to its campus, giving students year‑round access to a professional, climate‑controlled facility where they can safely learn and practice marksmanship. Outfitted with target‑retrieval systems, and certified safety equipment, the range supports training in air‑rifle and air‑pistol disciplines under the guidance of qualified coaches. Since its inauguration, the facility has not only promoted physical fitness, concentration, and discipline among participants but has also enabled budding sharpshooters to hone competitive skills, resulting in a growing list of medals at district, state, and national‑level and DAV Sports  shooting events while enhancing the school’s reputation for holistic sports development.
